"I went to Mexico City with Adidas Football to shoot the players from the national team in their new shirt, along with the new World Cup ball.
As a huge football fan myself, I wanted to try and capture the nerdy things that I would want to see as a sports fan and a glimpse behind the scenes.
I wanted to get an insight of the personality and expression of each player in much the same way I would shoot portraits of musicians.
Shooting a player like Chicharito seeing the new World Cup ball and doing tricks with it for the first time, was also super fun as his passion for the game is so clear".- Alex de Mora
