Hamish Stephenson x SoccerBible.

"Working on the Real Madrid project with Soccer Bible was a real dream project for me. I've grown up obsessed with football culture and I have so many memories as a child watching the Real Madrid galacticos team (Zidane, Raul, Figo, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo) in the early 2000's. So to now be within that environment and getting insight into seeing how the whole operation works was fascinating. When documenting the day to day training they were doing in LA, my focus was in capturing the dynamic between players and coaches which is very distinct at Real Madrid in comparison to other clubs. The magazine cover stories that featured Benzema, Bale and Marcelo were amazing experiences for me and I found it a good creative challenge finding ways to take the players out of the football context and into something of more a lifestyle environment. The shoot with Benzema was particularly unique as we got to shoot at the Goldstein-Sheats residence which perfectly represented the lifestyle, energy and character that Benzema embodies".- Hamish Stephenson
